There Is A Hole In The Apple Tree is an original work of fiction, best classified as folk horror. Originally written and mailed as one page per week, and sent out during the first months of pandemic. This edition collects the entire story into a single tomb.
"There is a hole in the apple tree. Stephen didn’t know when it first came to be, or if it had always been there. His earliest memories were of the slightest little yawn, just a foot below the largest fork in its branches. Sometimes he’d use it as a grip when pretending to be a giant climbing up a beanstalk, and once he screeched into its wooden depths in hopes of siren-calling some hidden insect out to the light. But there were many other trees and many other places in the fields to keep a child entertained, so he never paid much attention to it......"
Synopsis: Stephen lives a life secluded and shrouded in ritual. A chance encounter sets him on a path to discover who he is and just what he's prepared to do to get what he desires.
